Quirky Colourful

Residential Apartment

Creating the interior for a new build project based in Poland. The layout was fairly fixed and many of the electrical and plumbing points had already been installed. But we had full creative license when it came to finishes and fixtures. This studio apartment was going to be the clients first home and she wanted the design to fully reflect her style and taste. We have tried to create little Easter eggs all over the apartment to make it that little bit extra special.

The entrance has been designed to act as a portal to your unique kingdom. Bright colours and reflective surfaces (mirror) turns the long corridor into an incredible feature and invites you to follow in.

The living room consists of two main areas divided by the flooring. The functional kitchen has easy to clean Terrazzo tiles. Warm timber herringbone floor makes the lounge, living area more cosy and inviting. The kitchen is kept to an L-shape to maximise usable space and storage.  The Bed is hidden in a fold down cupboard that pulls out over the sofa giving the apartment a sense of more space.

Light grey tiles will be used for the kitchen splash back, bright orange grout will be incorporated to add a point of difference and used as a tool to tie in some of the other elements in the apartment.
